Studies have shown it reduces the risk of coronary heart disease¹ and it can lower cholesterol levels naturally. 

Ever heard of 103 year old heart surgeon Dr Ellsworth Wareham?² 

He is one of the most decorated heart surgeons in all America.

Dr Ellsworth has completed many charity missions across the world and what he found time and time again shocked him into becoming a vegan half way through his extraordinarily long life.

He found in poor countries where people didn’t eat meat or dairy because they couldn’t afford it. 

Coronary heart disease pretty much didn’t exist.

The countries worldwide where they ate a diet of mainly vegetables, beans and rice (i.e. a vegan diet) simply did not get coronary heart disease.

The only heart problems he found to treat were birth and genetic defects.

He realised that meat and dairy was clogging up America’s arteries in a nationwide epidemic, he made the switch to veganism in his 50’s and at age 103, he hasn’t looked back.

Oh and if you’re wondering how his energy levels are, he didn’t reitre until the ripe old age of 95! 

Yes, you read that right, he was still carrying out heart surgeries into his nineties.

What a positive story for vegan eating!


Studies³ show it could reduce the overall risk of cancer by up to 15% and some Professors believe it can even help fight it.

In 2015 the World Health Organisation listed red meat as a type 2 carcinogen, meaning it probably causes cancer in humans. They put processed meat like bacon and pepperoni into class 1, that’s the same as cigarettes and asbestos.

Professor Jane Plant⁴ is a walking example of this. She is a geochemist who has survived cancer 6 times. She believes that switching to a plant based diet helped put her breast cancer into remission twice.

In women a 2012 study from the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics
 found that vegan women had 34% lower rates of breast, cervical and ovarian cancer!⁵

Isn’t that incredible?



It can lower the risk of diabetes⁶ and is now even being prescribed as a method to help reverse type 2 diabetes!

My personal story with the vegan diet.

I first started getting more interested in a plant based diet around a year or so ago. 

I’d noticed as I was in my 30s that my energy simply seemed to be a lot less than it used to be.

What’s more I’d started getting “tummy” issues after eating a big meal, especially if it contained meat or dairy.

After meals with meat or dairy I noticed I’d get especially tired as my body struggled to break down all the animal products, leading the all too common feeling of being in a food coma.

Food coma’s aren’t great when you’ve got a laundry list of stuff to do like most of us have right?

You see, I was looking for a change when a good friend of mine recommended I watch the documentary the gamechangers. 

What I saw on that documentary completely changed my perspective, so I decided to investigate further.

After doing my research and reading countless articles on the health benefits of veganism, I decided to give it a proper go.

Thankfully my girlfriend is a great cook and got on board with the idea too. 

She started cooking up some wonderful vegan meals and it was great:

I had more energy.

My tummy issues disappeared.

I wasn’t getting that food coma feling after meals

And my girlfriend noticed her skin started glowing like she was in her teenage years again.

It was all good apart from one thing…

I had NO IDEA what to cook...

My girlfriend had been making great healthy vegan meals, but they were all so complex and frankly, they were TOO healthy.
